Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Registering sales on assigned cash register and providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and taking customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products
- Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records
- Performing duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine
- Reporting prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
- Handling telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
- Processing manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
- Assisting and supporting Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals
- Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products
- Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
- Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
- Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine
- Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
- Complying with all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
Essential Qualifications
* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prior work experience with arenaflex
- Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- PTCB certification
