The Role

We're seeking an Entry Level Mechatronics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, responsible for developing and refining products and processes for use in the automated logistics industry. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you'll be working on a range of projects that involve programming, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical design. This role requires travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the programming of PLC software for new product development

• Create and maintain code libraries for standard equipment
• Research and test electromechanical technologies to support arenaflex products
• Contribute to the definition and documentation of software design guidelines
• Evaluate existing control processes and implement suggested improvements
• Deliver quality by creating test plans, running risk analyses, and properly testing code
• Participate in hands-on equipment testing to validate functionality

Required Areas of Experience/Knowledge

* PLC languages (e.g. Ladder Logic, Structured Text)

• Industrial Fieldbus (e.g. Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, ASi, Modbus)
• Simulation/Emulation of Equipment
• Mechanical & Electrical Design
• HMI

Preferred Areas of Experience/Knowledge

* Allen Bradley PLC Platform (Siemens is a plus)

• SCADA
• Industrial Machinery

Education/Experience

* Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent)
