About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines that support our business operations. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
- Develop and maintain data sets, tables, and views to support business operations
- Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to ensure data quality and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong experience with Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Experience with source control using GitLab or GitHub
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
- Experience with cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
- Experience with data governance and data quality initiatives
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
