Experienced Customs Brokerage Representative – Night Shift Data Entry Release Operations (REMOTE)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Customs Brokerage Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Release Operations Representative, you will be responsible for processing and clearing shipments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a remote position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Days/Hours:

The ideal candidate will be available to work a night shift schedule, from 11 PM to 7 AM (Eastern Time), Wednesday to Sunday. This position requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working outside of traditional business hours.

Scope of Position:

As a Customs Brokerage Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring that all shipments are cleared for transport and meet the requirements of US Customs and additional Partner Government Agencies. This will involve:

• Processing and clearing shipments, including release, classification, and billing
• Preparing bonds for U.S. Customs for inspection and release of imports
• Assuring accurate and timely billings and resolving accounting issues
• Staying up-to-date on Customs and procedure changes
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless processing and delivery of shipments

• Release, classify, and bill basic import shipments

Experience and Education:

To be eligible for this position, you will need to possess the following experience and education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent:

You will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2+ Years of Brokerage/Office Experience:

You will need to have at least 2 years of experience in a brokerage or office environment.

Accurate Data Entry Skills:

You will need to have accurate data entry skills and be able to process complex data efficiently.

Excellent Communications Skills:

You will need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Previous Experience with MS Word and EXCEL:

You will need to have previous experience with MS Word and EXCEL, as well as other PC-based software programs.
