Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Patient Customer Service Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing ridiculously nice customer service over the phone to patients of arenaflex's clients, gathering payments for medical expenses
  • Placing and receiving phone calls to/from patients to gather payment information, resolve questions or concerns, and educate patients on healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs
  • Collecting demographic, insurance, and other relevant information from patients, making appropriate documentation in internal technology platforms
  • Leveraging internal technology platforms and other web-based tools to research and resolve patient questions or concerns
  • Educating patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs or incentives to improve their financial well-being
  • Maintaining and evolving knowledge of the expectations, processes, and procedures of arenaflex's numerous clients

Training and Onboarding

As a Part-Time Patient Customer Service Specialist, you'll undergo a comprehensive training program to ensure you're equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role. Training will take place Monday-Friday, 11:00am-3:00pm CST, for approximately 7-8 weeks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity
  • 1+ year(s) of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a call center environment
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in medical/insurance coding and billing (preferred)

  • Experience working in a medical billing or insurance environment
  • Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
  • Experience with patient engagement and education
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
