Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Patient Customer Service Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing ridiculously nice customer service over the phone to patients of arenaflex's clients, gathering payments for medical expenses
- Placing and receiving phone calls to/from patients to gather payment information, resolve questions or concerns, and educate patients on healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs
- Collecting demographic, insurance, and other relevant information from patients, making appropriate documentation in internal technology platforms
- Leveraging internal technology platforms and other web-based tools to research and resolve patient questions or concerns
- Educating patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs or incentives to improve their financial well-being
- Maintaining and evolving knowledge of the expectations, processes, and procedures of arenaflex's numerous clients
Training and Onboarding
As a Part-Time Patient Customer Service Specialist, you'll undergo a comprehensive training program to ensure you're equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role. Training will take place Monday-Friday, 11:00am-3:00pm CST, for approximately 7-8 weeks.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity
- 1+ year(s) of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth
- 1+ year(s) of experience in a call center environment
- 1+ year(s) of experience in medical/insurance coding and billing (preferred)
