Job Summary:

Join the arenaflex team as an Experienced Customer Service/Sales Representative, where you will play a vital role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences across various departments. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. You will learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. With a focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and teamwork, you will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to achieve sales goals and maintain a safe and clean shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a clean, shop-able, and safe environment
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales promotions, events, and initiatives to drive sales growth and customer engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash, operating a cash register, and processing transactions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the store
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a retail or sales environment, with a focus on customer service and sales growth

  • Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen & bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products
  • Familiarity with sales software and technology, including CRM systems and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve customer issues effectively
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth
