Key Responsibilities

As a Bilingual and Non-Bilingual Customer Service Representative I, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer telephone calls in a Call Center environment, addressing account maintenance, refund inquiries, password resets, and online State Registration requirements.
  • Providing knowledgeable and accurate information in a timely and friendly manner, using online web tools for research and staying up-to-date on current tax laws and policies.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of current tax laws and policies, as well as revised policies, procedures, regulations, and tax laws to educate, advise, and direct internal and external customers.
  • Assisting customers either by phone or in person, reviewing confidential tax information, and providing account maintenance according to tax laws and policies and procedures.
  • Providing customer support for online self-service functions through the Georgia Tax Center.
  • Utilizing technology for advanced support, including online web tools and software applications.

Minimum Entry Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED

  • Six months of call center experience handling customer questions, complaints, and/or providing information

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a high-volume Contact Service environment

  • Bilingual in Spanish or second language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a remote environment after completing an onsite training period

Requirements

* Must be able to pass a criminal background check

  • Must be able to obtain a Tax Clearance Letter stating that you do not owe any state taxes

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly rate: $15.00 per hour (non-bilingual) and $17.00 per hour (bilingual in Spanish or second language)
