People Ops Coordinator

- About the Opportunity:
The People Ops Coordinator provides essential support to the People Operations team by managing administrative tasks across recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and other HR functions. This role is critical in maintaining organizational efficiency and fostering positive employee experiences within a diverse and dynamic environment. The position directly contributes to the smooth operation of HR processes that impact employee engagement and organizational growth.
- Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee files, records, and HR data through regular audits
- Support performance review cycles and assist with benefits administration
- Respond to employee HR inquiries with professionalism and adherence to organizational values
- Support recruitment efforts including candidate tracking, resume evaluation, initial screens, and interview coordination
- Manage pre-employment processes such as background checks and system setups
- Conduct reference checks following best practices
- Facilitate consistent and efficient onboarding and offboarding processes
- Prepare new hire paperwork and coordinate orientation schedules
- Provide direct support to new employees during onboarding
- Manage structured check-in processes at 45 and 90 days
- Ensure proper offboarding including return of company property
- Plan and attend at least two company events per year
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Preferred
- Knowledge of HRIS systems
- Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Experience with applicant tracking systems
- HR certification such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM is a plus
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Salary range: $50,000 to $59,000
