Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Entry and Claims Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and promoting change management initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Meeting or exceeding departmental quality and service standards
  • Delivering routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meeting deadlines appropriately
  • Making routine and non-routine decisions, applying limited but increasingly more discretion within the role, except for matters of significance that affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Determining eligibility and confirming effective dates for benefit elections based on contractual guidelines
  • Leveraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create and modify member level records across multiple products, applications, and platforms
  • Maintaining accurate member records by verifying dates, names, salary figures, and other information provided by groups
  • Applying policy provisions for effective dates, evidence of insurability, and other pertinent information to determine necessary changes
  • Demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness in system work independently, considering what the customer will experience in all actions

Essential Qualifications:

* High School or GED (Minimum Required)

  • No prior experience required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work, accuracy, and attention to detail without loss to productivity
  • Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical, or hazardous situations
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Demonstrates organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal and/or clients (e.g., management, peers, colleagues, customers, etc.)
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in data entry, claims processing, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
