Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Client Technologies Technician to join our Tier 2 Customer Support team. As a key member of our IT team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch support to our users, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with our team to drive innovation. Key Responsibilities

As a Client Technologies Technician at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, including:

  • Configuring and installing software for IT user desktops and laptops
  • Participating in the installation and rollout of new software packages, upgrades, and new desktop hardware
  • Maintaining desktop software and hardware
  • Supporting mobile workforce
  • Providing Tier 2 support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems
  • Troubleshooting problems using scripts and checklists as guides
  • Escalating to Tier 3 support when necessary
  • Documenting problems and resolutions
  • Performing end-user training, if applicable
  • Providing quality customer service
  • Participating in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages
  • Implementing prototypes

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in the provision of Tier 2 Customer Support for desktop computers, printers, scanners, etc.
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, and supporting desktop applications and operating systems, including:

+ Windows OS + Office + Outlook + Internet Explorer

  • Experience installing and troubleshooting computer hardware and software, including:

+ Personal computers + Printers + Peripherals in both a network and standalone environment

  • Experience solving computer problems over the phone and troubleshooting PC and peripheral-related problems
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols
  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting 3270 emulation software
  • Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing hardware, including:

+ Hard drives + RAM + Processors + CD-RWs + DVD-RW's + Multimedia kits + Other peripherals

  • Experience using imaging software for deploying desktop PC's
  • Experience providing VoIP phone support
  • Experience providing VPN client support
  • Experience working for a criminal justice agency
  • Knowledge of Information Technology standards in a criminal justice environment
  • Experience supporting end users in a criminal justice environment
