Responsibilities

As an Entry Level Chat Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, addressing their sales inquiries and offering technical solutions through live chat.
  • Recommending technical solutions to customers, troubleshooting issues, guiding them through product features and functionalities, and assisting with any technical difficulties they may encounter.
  • Providing excellent customer service, handling customer interactions with empathy, patience, and a positive attitude, and building strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborating with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve customer issues and improve overall team performance.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and proactively seeking feedback from supervisors and colleagues to improve performance.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Entry Level Chat Support Specialist, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Eligibility: You must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Technical Requirements: You must have access to a device (phone, tablet, or laptop) capable of accessing social media and website chat functions, and a reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication with customers.
  • Communication Skills: You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Availability: You must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week, with flexibility to work up to 40 hours per week based on business needs and your schedule.
  • Independence and Accountability: You must be able to work independently and efficiently without constant supervision, and be self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively to meet performance goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions.

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field is not required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with live chat software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

  • Certification in customer service or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCEP).
  • Fluency in multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
