Accountant - 100% Remote
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Accountant - Remote position with a Major Financial Services Company located in Milwaukee, WI. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. This role involves performing day-to-day transactional accounting for the client's field offices nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including AP, commission processing, and period close activities. Key responsibilities include processing vouchers in JD Edwards, entering journal entries, and completing monthly reconciliations. Responsibilities:
- Perform transactional accounting for the client's field offices
- Process vouchers, enter journal entries, and process commissions using JD Edwards
- Complete monthly period-closing reconciliations
- Assist with payroll and 1099 processing
- Train new contractors and maintain relationships with assigned offices
- Handle office-specific accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including journal entries (debits/credits)
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to commit to the position for at least one year
Desired skills:
- Experience with the JD Edwards accounting system
- Experience with commissions processing
