Key Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Customer Service and Sales Professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Providing fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
- Learning about products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell an entire project
- Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
- Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments
- Participating in sales initiatives and promotions to drive sales growth and meet sales targets
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by arenaflex, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer experiences
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
- Strong product knowledge and sales skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new products and services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting sales targets and providing exceptional customer experiences
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a retail or sales environment, with a focus on customer service and sales
- Knowledge of building materials, hardware, or other related products and services
- Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and sales analytics tools
- Certification in customer service or sales, such as the Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or the Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in multiple languages
