Key Responsibilities
As a Virtual Medical Assistant - Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry and Auditing: Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a US healthcare setting, is essential for this role. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient data, reviewing and auditing the work of the rest of the team, and ensuring the integrity of our electronic health records.
- Referral Review and Management: You will review incoming referrals, log into hospital portals to retrieve records for next-day patients, rename records, attach records, and ensure that all necessary information is accurately documented.
- Double Checking and Verification: You will double-check incoming referrals to ensure accuracy and completeness, verifying that all necessary information is present and up-to-date.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills are crucial for this role, as you will be managing multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing deadlines, and ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Time Zone Alignment: You will work effectively in the Mountain Time zone to align with client schedules, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with our medical team.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven Experience in Data Entry: A minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in a US healthcare setting.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and experience with data entry and auditing in a healthcare setting.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter patient data and review referrals.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with our medical team and clients.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Hospital Portals: Familiarity with hospital portals and experience with logging into these systems to retrieve records.
