Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Discord Server Moderation

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Chat Moderator to join our remote team and help us maintain a positive and respectful community on our official Discord server. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for enforcing our community guidelines, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that our members feel welcome and included. This is a part-time, flexible position that offers the opportunity to work from anywhere and make a real impact on our online community.

Key Responsibilities:

* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and adhere to our community guidelines

• Delete messages that violate our rules, including hate speech, harassment, and spam
• Ban users who repeatedly violate our rules, and mute users who have committed a single offense
• Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, and take appropriate action
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community-building initiatives and events
• Provide excellent customer service and support to our members, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules, and make recommendations for improvements and updates

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in community management, conflict resolution, or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and self-motivation
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions
• Familiarity with Discord and other online community platforms
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

• Familiarity with arenaflex's mission and values
• Experience with community-building initiatives and events
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content
• Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on languages spoken by our community members
