Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Data Entry Operator, you'll be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with a high degree of accuracy and speed
- Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless customer service
- Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely manner
- Preparing files for mass customer communications, including mailing billing statements and other notices generated in-house
- Scanning or retaining documents as required
- Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data integrity
- Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to inform business decisions
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the team lead
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)
- Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
- Strong typing and accuracy skills, with the ability to meet or exceed industry standards
- Ability to pass computer skills, typing, and accuracy testing for consideration
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- An Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or a related field
- Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
- Additional certifications or training in data entry, customer service, or a related field
