About the Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business value across our portfolio of brands and digital experiences. You will work closely with our data science, data engineering, and product teams to develop and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that support our business needs. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems that drive business value across our portfolio of brands and digital experiences

• Collaborate with data science, data engineering, and product teams to develop and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Ensure the quality and integrity of our data, including data validation, data quality, and data governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
• Develop and maintain documentation of data systems, including data dictionaries, data models, and technical documentation
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Collaborate with other teams to identify and prioritize technical debt and implement solutions to address it
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our data systems and processes

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud and big data technologies
• Strong algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Solid SQL skills and experience with data modeling and data warehousing
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Scala, Python, Java, and SQL
• Experience with data integration toolsets, including Apache Beam, Apache NiFi, and Apache Kafka
• Experience with data governance and data quality, including data validation, data profiling, and data cleansing

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud and big data technologies
• Experience with data lakes and data warehouses, including Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery
• Experience with data science and machine learning, including experience with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
• Experience with DevOps and continuous integration, including experience with tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
