Deputy Manager Sales The Deputy Manager Sales focuses on strategic OEM account management, business development, and commercial leadership, acting as the key interface between customers and internal functions to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and sustained customer satisfaction. Responsibilities 1. Strategic Account Management

  • Primary Liaison: Act as the single point of contact for all commercial and coordination activities between the customer and internal teams (Engineering, Production, Quality).
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at the OEM level.
  • Account Retention: Develop and execute strategic account plans to ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term account retention.

2. Sales & Business Development

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, as well as onboard new OEM customers.
  • RFQ Management: Lead the full Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, from lead generation and inquiry through submission, follow-up, and PO conversion.
  • Market Penetration: Drive growth in Share of Business (SOB) across key components, including Powertrain, Engine, Chassis, and EV-related products.

3. Commercial & Technical Coordination

  • Commercial Negotiations: Lead price negotiations, contract renewals, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal R&D and manufacturing plants to ensure successful new project launches and adherence to SOP (Start of Production) timelines.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer product roadmaps, providing strategic insights and feedback to management.

Requirements

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required; an MBA in Marketing is preferred. Experience: Typically 8–12 years of experience in automotive component sales or OEM account management. Key Skills: Strong commercial and negotiation skills, Proficiency in CRM tools and SAP and Solid technical knowledge of automotive systems, including transmissions, sensors, engine, chassis, and EV-related components Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
