Experienced Dock Operations Specialist – Warehouse and Freight Handling

Job Summary:
As a Dock Operations Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and freight handling processes. You'll be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including freight handling, documentation verification, and customer assistance. If you're a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail, we want to hear from you.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Verify documentation matches freight description, using current electronic or manual systems
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, such as pallets, straps, and rope
- Recoup or repair damaged freight when necessary
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed
- Perform hostling duties if required
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required

- Basic math and counting skills
- Ability to lift and carry hand freight, dock plates, and trailer doors
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations preferred
- If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred
- Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry hand freight, dock plates, and trailer doors
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
- Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred
Working Conditions:
* Dock environment with exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise
- Hours may vary due to operational need
- Frequent contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
