Our Transportation Analytics crew is a key part of our operations, and we are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

• Extracting insights from large datasets: Work with messy, disparate datasets and perform ad-hoc analyses to inform business decisions. Develop ETLs or strategies to centralize data from multiple sources into a single table.
• Developing data visualizations: Create impactful Tableau dashboards to display and quantify the effects of changes and business challenges.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Engage with crew members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs. Partner with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems.
• Automating reporting tasks: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition.
• Documenting processes and sharing expertise: Document your tactics and share your knowledge with colleagues. Mentor your peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.

• Excellent SQL skills: Ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience).
• Creativity with a User Experience basis: Ability to develop impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience).
• Business Operations Fluency: Ability to recognize and root cause business problems. A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience.
• Excellent communication skills: Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau: Ability to develop complex data visualizations and perform advanced data analysis.

• Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations: Familiarity with the transportation industry and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages: Ability to automate reporting tasks and develop custom solutions.
• Experience with data manipulation tools: Familiarity with tools such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
