Experienced Full Stack Product Design Engineer – Home and Music Experience Development

As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of home and music experiences. Your work will involve ideation, planning, and testing new products, often working across multiple disciplines and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with various disciplines, including Modern Design, Project Management, and cross-functional design teams, to conceptualize and develop new products

• Develop and refine product ideas, considering factors such as manufacturability, usability, and aesthetics
• Create, model, assess, and investigate new product designs, ensuring they meet corrective and utilitarian requirements
• Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design critiques, providing constructive feedback and insights
• Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders, effectively communicating design concepts and ideas
• Produce detailed specifications and drawings, ensuring accuracy and clarity
• Engage with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to enhance product designs for manufacturability, usability, and aesthetics
• Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify underlying drivers and implement corrective actions
• Approve and describe product designs through various iterations, ensuring consistency and quality
• Develop deep technical expertise by taking products from concept to production, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations
• Ensure that products meet corrective and utilitarian requirements, providing top-tier equipment to our customers

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Strong foundation in design principles and a high level of creativity
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas effectively
• Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other related methodologies
• Working knowledge of finite element analysis and other simulation tools
• Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
• Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Experience in product design and development, with a focus on home and music experiences
• Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturability, design for assembly, and other related methodologies
• Experience with 3D printing and other additive manufacturing techniques
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and lean principles
