Job Summary

We're seeking an Experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Miramar, USA. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you'll be responsible for performing data entry tasks, resolving patient registration issues, and providing exceptional customer support. Key Responsibilities

* Perform data entry tasks, including patient registration, prescription requests, and order processing, in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

  • Troubleshoot missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes)
  • Resolve data entry-related exceptions and ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information
  • Handle correspondence with patients, including inbound calls, chats, and emails, and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed
  • Resolve 1/3 party rejects by reviewing, gathering facts, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements
  • Make phone calls to insurers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or resolve 1/3 party rejects
  • Provide assistance to pharmacists, both in-house and at other locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior management as needed
  • Obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active technician license or certification

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills, including:

+ Starting and shutting down a laptop + Using a mouse to click and navigate + Starting and closing applications + Transferring between programs + Saving files + Printing documents and/or accessing information online

  • Primary Google skills, including:

+ Opening a browser + Typing in URLs in the correct area + Using a search engine + Bookmarking a website + Navigating using back/forward/stop buttons + Filling out forms online

  • Intermediate keyboarding skills, including:

+ Touch typing + Formatting files

  • Ability to speak effectively in writing and verbally
  • 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 365 days of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment

  • At least 18 months of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration via state as granted by the state board of pharmacy or nationally recognized certification corporation
  • Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including assembling pleasant standards for offerings, and assessment of customer pride
  • Intermediate to superior keyboarding skills, including:

+ Touch typing + Formatting files

  • Fluency in Spanish and English
