What We're Looking For

We're looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician - Customer Care Representative to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician - Customer Care Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and their members. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Account Inquiries & Claims Processing: Respond to member and client inquiries, assist members with prescription benefits, and troubleshoot claim processing problems.
  • Receive phone calls/emails from members, clients, pharmacies, and/or physician offices: Provide timely and effective communication to our clients and their members.
  • Troubleshoot claim processing problems and/or inquiries in the claims adjudication system: Use your analytical skills to resolve complex issues and provide solutions to our clients and their members.
  • Respond to website inquiries: Provide timely and effective responses to our clients and their members.
  • Become proficient in all aspects of the claims adjudication system: Learn and master our claims adjudication system to provide exceptional service to our clients and their members.
  • Communicates problems and concerns to the manager: Keep your manager informed of any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Clinical Care Support: Complete new/renewal Prior Authorization requests for specialty & non-specialty drugs, reach out to members to assist in a change of Rx to a more cost-effective generic alternative, and assist members needing copay assistance for brand medications.
  • Account Support: QA testing for client transitions/changes, complete the pharmacy contact sheet for fax notifications, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Customer service experience: You must have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of claims processing helpful: While not required, knowledge of claims processing is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail: You must be able to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills: You must be able to communicate effectively with our clients and their members.
  • Problem-solving skills: You must be able to think critically and provide effective solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in an ever-changing environment: You must be able to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook): You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have strong computer skills.
  • High School Diploma and/or college degree in a related field preferred: While not required, a high school diploma and/or college degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Pharmacy technician experience preferred, not required: While not required, pharmacy technician experience is a plus.
