Our Data Science + Mix (DDSI) association is responsible for supporting clients across the organization, including the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division, which encompasses Parks and Resorts, both domestic and international, Customer Products and Disney Consumer Products, as well as the Disney Media Networks division, which includes Studios Content (Disney General Entertainment Content), General Entertainment Content, and ESPN and Sports Content.
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our business operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design and implement data pipelines, and ensure the smooth operation of our data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and systems using a variety of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, and GitLab
* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and design data pipelines that meet business needs
* Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data set designs, and data visualization tools
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through data validation, data profiling, and data governance
* Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts to streamline data processing and delivery
* Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and errors in a timely and efficient manner
* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and apply knowledge to improve data infrastructure and processes
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
* Experience with containerization using Docker
* Experience with source control management using GitLab or GitHub
* Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
* Proficiency in cloud design and product development, with experience using AWS
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
* Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling principles
