Senior Project Manager - Commercial (Requires Travel)

Senior Project Manager (Remote – Travel Required, Western U.S.) Location: Remote (Frequent travel across the Western United States); must reside on western side of the US Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually

About the Role

Planes and GWS are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead complex office and industrial projects including moves, decommissions, furniture installations, and light construction initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and is comfortable traveling extensively to support project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction
• Plan, scope, budget, and execute projects from initial discovery through completion
• Conduct site visits, walkthroughs, and assessments to define project requirements
• Develop proposals, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with client needs
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners
• Oversee project execution, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and on-time delivery
• Manage budgets, track costs, and ensure financial performance meets company standards
• Resolve issues proactively and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Travel regularly to project sites across the western U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of commercial project management experience
• Experience managing blue-collar labor and field operations required
• Background in moving, construction, facilities, or furniture systems strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with industry tools is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively

Physical and Work Requirements

• Must travel 75% of the time
• Ability to work in office, warehouse, and industrial environments
• Willingness to work nights or weekends as project needs require
