Key Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Handling patient calls with professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience for our patients.
- Providing accurate and timely information to patients regarding their queries and concerns, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Maintaining detailed records of patient interactions and updating our systems accordingly, ensuring that all patient information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Following up with patients to ensure that their issues are resolved and they are satisfied with the service they have received.
- Coordinating with healthcare providers to relay patient information and ensure continuity of care, while adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Assisting in scheduling appointments and managing patient calendars, while providing support in patient education and information dissemination.
- Collaborating with team members to improve patient calling processes and outcomes, while participating in training sessions to stay updated with the latest healthcare protocols.
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly, while striving to achieve individual and team targets for patient satisfaction and call handling efficiency.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of patient calling protocols and procedures, with the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and regulations.
- Demonstrated empathy and patience while dealing with patients, with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software, with the ability to navigate and update patient records accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in patient calling or a related field.
