Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing expert support to our members. You'll be the primary customer interface for inquiries, using established best practices, attending ongoing training, and utilizing resources and tools to serve as the expert in navigating the challenging world of insurance. Key Responsibilities

* Interfaces with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to provide expert support and resolve customer issues.

  • Researches customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues.
  • Elevates sensitive customer requests when necessary, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Complies with State and Federal regulations and mandates, which are continually changing, thus creating a very dynamic environment. The candidate is responsible for taking initiative to stay current on policies and procedures required to support the customer and ensure compliance.
  • Remains current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommends items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and provide exceptional service.

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred)
  • Availability for training 9-12 weeks in length
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a health insurance or related field

  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
