Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst to join our team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to support business growth and data-driven decision making. As a Database Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data solutions to meet those needs. You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving database issues, performing database maintenance tasks, and optimizing database performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support business growth and data-driven decision making
- Analyze and resolve database issues, including troubleshooting and resolving errors
- Perform database maintenance tasks, including backup and recovery, indexing, and statistics
- Optimize database performance, including indexing, query optimization, and data partitioning
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries and technical specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data solutions to meet those needs
- Provide data insights and analytics to support business decision making
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database design and implementation
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
- Experience with database modeling, database design, and database implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based database platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, including Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and Microsoft Power BI
- Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell and SQL
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
Skills and Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
