Job Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Trainee on our FEP team, you'll be responsible for:
- Receiving, investigating, and resolving all customer inquiries timely and accurately
- Handling customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone
- Ensuring all customer communication is clearly documented
- Interacting through various channels such as Chat, Phone, Email, and TEAMS
- Educating callers to ensure resolution is achieved on first contact
- Participating and attending training sessions and meetings
- Working independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Rotating shifts, including early morning, evening, and weekend hours
- Working overtime as required
Key Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a customer service support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Independent, sound decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to talk and type simultaneously in a clear and concise manner while interacting with customers
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience in a healthcare or insurance environment
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
