Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Conflict Resolution Specialist

Job Description:

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules.
• Deleting messages that violate our community standards, including but not limited to:

+ Hate speech and harassment + Spam and self-promotion + Inflammatory or divisive content

• Banning users who repeatedly violate our community guidelines, after a thorough investigation and warning process.
• Muting users who have violated our community standards, to prevent further disruptions.
• Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations, and taking appropriate action to resolve the issue.
• Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community guidelines and policies that promote a positive and inclusive online environment.
• Providing excellent customer service to users, responding to their concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community management and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
• Familiarity with Discord and other online community platforms, with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in community management or conflict resolution, either in a professional or volunteer capacity.

• Familiarity with arenaflex's mission and values, and a passion for creating a more inclusive and supportive community.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of our global community.
