Job Summary
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Junior GIS Analyst, you'll be responsible for creating geographic data for assigned areas, designing and developing custom maps and reports, and providing administrative support to our team members. If you're a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for data analysis, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
* Create geographic data for assigned areas using MapInfo and other relevant tools
- Design and develop custom maps and reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Analyze data and provide insights to clients and internal stakeholders
- Provide administrative support to team members, including data entry, report preparation, and travel coordination
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing office supplies
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in geographic data analysis and mapping
- Strong knowledge of geographic data systems and software, including MapInfo
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of data visualization and mapping tools, such as Tableau and ArcGIS
- Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis
- Certification in GIS or a related field
