Experienced Safety Analyst – Aviation Safety Programs and Data Analysis

Job Summary
As a Safety Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in supporting our Safety team by processing reviews, collecting data, developing reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating activities, and collaborating on various initiatives. You will help control the improvement and implementation of SMS data collection systems and other techniques that optimize strategies and structures used to determine compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, as well as standard business practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Acts as a project coordinator for Safety Programs
- Collaborates with Safety Department Managers on safety activities
- Reviews, analyzes, and investigates all reports acquired through the safety reporting system (Operational/Irregularity, ASAP, Fatigue)
- Analyzes technical data from hazards, activities, and occurrences, and identifies and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Acts as a safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and accelerated hazard areas of operations
- Tracks, analyzes, and interprets data outputs from the Company's safety programs
- Assists with the management of the company databases for the purpose of advanced airline safety
- Assists the Safety Team in any critical investigations
- Provides technical knowledge to Management concerning data models, database design improvement, and data mining
- Prepares relevant reports and communicates safety-related data to managers and line employees in support of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Assists with the development, implementation, and control of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS)
- Will act as a member of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Monitoring Team, oversee aircraft data collection (including Technical Operations), perform FOQA data evaluation, and fashion identity
- Maintains FOQA Database and ensures organization compliance with FOQA guidelines
- Assists with the continuous development of the risk identification and safety hazard evaluation schemes of the Company
- Prepares research studies regarding aviation safety trends
- Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
* Knowledge of Aviation Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, FRMP, IEP, VDRP)
- Operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, and Maintenance
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum system lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, hazard control, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion
- Basic knowledge of Crew Resource Management principles and aviation human factors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Excellent writing skills, including report writing, document writing, and correspondence with regulatory agencies
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and educational skills
- Strong technical and data analysis skills; Ability to perform statistical analysis and audits
Preferred Skills
* Bachelor's degree in an associated field
- Previous experience in airline operations
- FAA aircraft dispatcher, pilot, and/or A&P certificate
