Senior Early Childhood Educator - Specialized Care
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Early Childhood Educator specializing in specialized care to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to provide expert guidance and support to children and families from the comfort of your home. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, providing developmental support, and collaborating with parents and other professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of young children requiring specialized attention. This role demands a deep understanding of child development, early intervention strategies, and a compassionate approach to supporting children with diverse needs. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized educational and developmental plans for young children with specific needs. Providing direct support and guidance to children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Collaborating closely with parents and guardians to establish effective home-school partnerships and share progress updates. Working alongside therapists, pediatricians, and other specialists to coordinate care and interventions. Creating a stimulating and safe virtual learning environment that promotes exploration and growth. Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each child. Observing and documenting children's progress, identifying areas of strength and areas needing support. Providing resources and support to families, empowering them to advocate for their child's needs. Staying current with best practices in early childhood education, special education, and early intervention. Maintaining accurate and confidential records of children's development and progress. Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience working directly with young children, including those with special needs. Certification in early childhood education and/or special education is required. Experience with developmental assessments and intervention strategies is essential. Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills are crucial for effectively supporting children and families.
