Chief of Staff, Commercial
Job Description:
- Act as the CCO’s primary strategic advisor and operational thought partner.
- Shape and refine commercial strategy, operating rhythms, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between revenue objectives and enterprise strategic priorities.
- Develop and oversee mechanisms to track commercial performance, pipeline health, forecasting rigor, and execution effectiveness.
- Identify root causes of revenue gaps or execution breakdowns and drive corrective action.
- Partner with RevOps and Finance to improve forecasting accuracy and operating visibility.
- Serve as connective tissue between Commercial, Product, Finance, Strategy, and Operations.
- Drive alignment on GTM motions, customer segmentation, pricing strategy, and partnership strategy.
- Proactively surface complex commercial risks and opportunities.
- Drive clarity in roles, accountability, and decision-making across the revenue organization.
- Own strategic leadership meeting architecture (Revenue LT, QBRs, planning sessions).
Requirements:
- 10+ years in senior operations, consulting, revenue strategy, business operations, or Chief of Staff roles in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
- Demonstrated success supporting C-level executives in scaling commercial organizations.
- Strong commercial fluency (pipeline management, sales productivity, GTM strategy, revenue forecasting).
- Proven experience driving cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional structured problem-solving and executive communication skills.
- High executive presence, sound judgment, and ability to influence without authority.
- Deep experience with OKR frameworks, operating cadences, and strategic planning.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
