Hi All Greetings, Position: Python Developer with (certification PCAP, PCPP, or PCEP) Location : Remote with optional onsite visits to Washington, DC 20401 Type: Contract Python Institute certification (PCAP, PCPP, or PCEP) mandatory Job Description: Support development of Python-based middleware platform replacing OpenVMS server processing and DCL scripts; participate in Agile sprint execution, demos, DevSecOps gates, testing, integration, and deployment activities; develop middleware services, APIs, client UI components, integration services, monitoring capabilities, and testing frameworks under Government technical direction. Mandatory Qualifications: Python 3.9+ with 5+ years enterprise experience; FastAPI, Django, and Flask expertise; RESTful API development and OpenAPI documentation; database integration experience with PostgreSQL and SQLite preferred; legacy system integration experience (3+ years); Python Institute certification (PCAP, PCPP, or PCEP) mandatory; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; clean background investigation eligibility Preferred Qualifications: Government contracting experience; large-scale system modernization projects; file processing and document management systems Techstack Python 3.9+; FastAPI; Django; Flask; REST APIs; OpenAPI; PostgreSQL; SQLite; OpenVMS; DCL Scripts; Axway FTP; Windows NAS; Microservices; Event-driven processing; MS DevOps; Scrum; Kanban; GitHub Projects; Jira Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
