Full‑Stack .NET (VB.NET) WebForms Developer (Remote, Part‑Time Contract)
Simple Solutions Designed is a custom software development firm specializing in tailored solutions for the agricultural industry. We are seeking an experienced Full‑Stack .NET WebForms Developer to support ongoing maintenance and new feature development for a large, established WebForms application backed by SQL Server. This is a remote, part‑time contract position suited for a disciplined, detail‑oriented developer who is comfortable working independently within a mature codebase. The role involves both front‑end WebForms development and back‑end SQL Server work. There is no client interaction; all work is performed within the internal development team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and extend an ASP.NET WebForms application targeting .NET Framework 4.8
- Develop new features using WebForms, code‑behind, and related technologies
- Write clean, maintainable VB.NET code
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and schema changes
- Diagnose and resolve issues across the full application stack
- Collaborate with the internal team using remote communication and version control tools
- Follow established development workflows and coding standards
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with ASP.NET WebForms (VB.NET) development
- Proficiency with SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
- Experience working with large, legacy codebases
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills in a remote environment
- Must be US‑based
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reporting tools such as Aspose Cells or ActiveReports
- Familiarity with modernization or migration of legacy .NET applications
- Experience with CI/CD workflows
- Experience working with distributed development teams
