Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Social Media Editor to join our dynamic team at arenaflex. As a key member of our social media group, you will be responsible for creating and executing content strategies for our NBA and WNBA social media channels, including Ball Don't Lie. If you are a basketball enthusiast with a passion for social media, content creation, and community building, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, ideate, and program content for Yahoo Sports' "Ball Don't Lie" NBA channel, including social media strategy and long-term planning

• Collaborate with NBA scholars and editors to create content around NBA editorial news
• Conceptualize and execute unique content and live streaming ideas for social platforms
• Develop Ball Don't Lie's social handles through community building and proactive pitching of opportunities for growth
• Work with social platform contacts at IG, X, Meta, YouTube, and Snapchat on platform changes or updates
• Post engaging and UGC/unique content around live NBA events on various social platforms
• Collaborate with NBA and WNBA talent (authors and columnists) and editorial staff to create content for social media
• Identify local buzz around the NBA's major tentpole events
• Ideate novel source of inspiration campaigns or other innovative systems to advance content and engage with clients on social platforms
• Work in collaboration with NBA/basketball powerhouses to assist with growing the record
• Weekly and monthly coverage of all social metrics and using data to decide and propose recommendations on engagement
• Work in lockstep with arenaflex's creative team to develop proactive and on-the-fly static and video content

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, journalism, marketing)

• Profound understanding of sports/social media platforms with experience programming on all significant platforms for a significant brand (booking posts, programming video, content development, etc.)
• Master knowledge of Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Snapchat
• Solid editorial judgment and profound knowledge of all the NBA and WNBA
• An imaginative mind that can move quickly and capitalize on breaking stories and live games
• A demonstrated history of creating content that grows a sports brand's social media accounts
• Solid comprehension of key social metrics and how to advance content based on those metrics
• Capacity to recognize static and video content that resonates on specific social platforms
• Solid writing abilities, language skills, relational skills, and a comprehension of the "tone" of the internet
• Capacity to produce/alter video and create illustrations for social platforms using Adobe Creative Suite or more

Preferred Qualifications

* 3-5 years of experience programming social content or "owning" a social record for a sports social media brand

• A cooperative person and hard worker who can perform multiple tasks and work across different teams to collaborate and team up on various initiatives
• A gigantic fan fixated on everything NBA/WNBA, social media, and internet trends
• Somebody who appreciates engaging with the social crowd and loves to build the discussion around our content
• Somebody who can work an adaptable schedule as per sports breaking news and live games
