About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Bilingual Digital Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer engagement team, you'll be responsible for responding to borrowers via different digital communication channels, collecting past due payments, and providing appropriate payment solutions to cure borrower's delinquency. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Communicate with delinquent borrowers via different digital communication channels, including live chat and email

  • Find solutions to help bring borrower's loans to a current status, ensuring timely payments and minimizing delinquency
  • Process payments for borrowers with past due payments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection and metric goals, working closely with the collections team to achieve targets
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex customer issues and provide exceptional customer service

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of direct experience in credit and collections, with a strong understanding of sales, negotiation, and persuasion tools

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Prior experience with financial products, preferably in a collections or customer service role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Self-motivated and extremely goal-oriented, with a proven track record of achieving targets and exceeding expectations
  • Team Player with a professional demeanor, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in both languages

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using live chat to assist customers, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and best practices

  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex customer issues and develop effective solutions
  • Experience working in a remote environment, with a strong understanding of virtual communication tools and platforms
