We partner with title agents and underwriters across the country to modernize title operations—without replacing the expertise of skilled examiners. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Texas Title Examiner with a strong background in residential title examination. This role is ideal for someone with 7–10+ years of experience who is highly proficient in Texas title standards and comfortable working in a remote, technology-enabled environment. You will play a key role in reviewing title searches, identifying requirements and exceptions, and ensuring high-quality commitments for residential transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine residential title searches for Texas properties (purchase, refinance, and O&E transactions)
- Review chains of title, legal descriptions, and recorded documents to determine ownership and identify encumbrances
- Identify and clearly articulate title requirements and exceptions
- Prepare or review title commitments in accordance with Texas underwriting guidelines
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across files
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows and product performance
- Provide feedback to enhance automation and examiner tools
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience
in residential title examination, with a strong focus on Texas
- Deep familiarity with Texas title practices, including TDI requirements and promulgated forms
- Experience working with common title production systems (e.g., SoftPro, RamQuest, ResWare)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable working remotely and leveraging technology in daily workflows
- Interest in process improvement or technology-driven workflows
Compensation & Benefits

$65,000 – $70,000
