Commissioning Supervisor – Solar
Job Description:
- Support commissioning and startup activities for utility-scale solar (PV) projects
- Act as the Owner's representative to oversee commissioning execution, compliance, and reporting
- Prepare and coordinate: PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) testing, GIA (Generator Interconnection Agreement) testing, ISO/grid compliance testing
- Develop and manage commissioning schedules aligned with mechanical completion milestones
- Coordinate energy forecasting and grid notifications (AVR/AGC) with: Control centers, Customers, Grid operators
- Review and analyze system performance data to identify deficiencies and ensure optimal plant operation
- Support SCADA and IT teams with system checks and validation of: HMI functionality, Alarm systems, Data accuracy
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to track commissioning progress and ensure quality execution
- Support critical system checkout processes and alarm validations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar or power generation commissioning
- Strong knowledge of PV systems, including: Inverters, Trackers, Transformers, Substations, SCADA systems
- Experience working with grid operators such as: Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators (ISO), Balancing Authorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / O365
