About the Role
This opportunity is for a Creative Director in a fully remote, full-time role. This position leads visual thinking, creative quality, team mentorship, and hands-on design execution across keynote, event, and presentation-focused creative programs. The role is centered on high-impact visual storytelling, keynote presentations, large-scale event materials, design systems, sales decks, branding, motion graphics, videos, and client-facing creative deliverables. It requires a design leader who can guide creative teams, own creative decisions, support client confidence, and keep the work useful, beautiful, clear, and aligned with the project brief. This position works closely with strategy, engagement, project management, senior leadership, designers, motion designers, and other creative contributors. It requires both creative leadership and direct craft skills, with the ability to lead by example, delegate effectively, give clear feedback, and protect the integrity of the core creative vision from concept through final delivery. Travel for on-site events is required. What You’ll Do
- Lead visual thinking, creative quality control, and team mentorship across keynote and event-focused creative programs.
- Own creative problem-solving, model strong creative leadership, and manage project team leadership.
- Contribute directly to client-facing deliverables in a hands-on design capacity.
- Drive creative excellence across design-centered workflows and deliverables, especially within keynote presentation work.
- Lead visual creatives and ensure work products are useful, beautiful, clear, and aligned with the brief.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and represent the creative point of view in client-facing conversations.
- Own accountability for creative decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay current on emerging design trends in the event, keynote, immersive experience, and presentation design space.
- Enhance creative methodologies, internal processes, and design output to help differentiate the work in the market.
- Serve as a trusted resource for designers across the organization.
- Help designers solve ideation challenges, improve craft, apply fit and finish, and bring stronger creative reasoning back to their teams.
- Use hands-on design skills to create, improve, and elevate client work and internal brand materials.
- Partner directly with strategy and engagement leads to identify client problems and plan project-level creative processes.
- Lead the creative effort by example as both a doer and a delegator.
- Provide concise, actionable feedback to team members at all levels.
- Craft, defend, and advocate for the integrity of the core creative vision with internal teams and clients.
- Provide competitive analysis and ideas for expanded creative opportunities to senior leadership.
- Provide creative expertise in client pitches, work shares, and brainstorms.
- Help establish and reinforce client confidence in creative capabilities.
- Lead project teams and manage creative processes from conception through final delivery.
- Guide discovery, concepting, pitching, design development, and on-site revisions with clients and production partners.
- Consult with visual creatives to push their work and strengthen their craft.
- Advocate for the creative team to senior leadership and clients.
- Present authoritatively and persuasively to internal teams and clients.
- Improve internal efficiency and effectiveness by designing or refining workflows.
- Guide colleagues through process changes when workflows are updated.
- Delegate design work or take on design execution directly when needed.
- Support junior team members through training, feedback, and coaching across craft, communication, collaboration, and process.
- Partner regularly with senior leadership to understand client business needs, audience expectations, and strategic intent.
- Partner with engagement and project management colleagues to shape design-focused scopes of work, new business pitches, practical schedules, resource priorities, and areas of attention.
- Provide creative direction and design execution for keynote presentations, sales decks, branding, motion graphics, videos, and related deliverables.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of design experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Creative Director or senior creative leadership role.
- A portfolio that specifically showcases keynote presentations and large-scale event presentation work.
- Experience working on-site at live events in a creative leadership capacity.
