SAP S/4HANA Project Manager
SAP S/4HANA Project Manager Location: Garner, NC — 5 days onsite Employment Type: Contract Duration: Through end of year, with strong potential for 1–2 year extension Local candidates only. We are not working with third parties, vendors, or C2C for this role. We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to lead a complex, enterprise-wide transformation. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a large-scale SAP S/4 implementation with multiple integrated systems, business teams, and implementation partners. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP project leadership experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA implementation projects
- Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resources
- Drive phase execution, rollout planning, testing, go-live readiness, and stabilization
- Oversee defect triage, issue resolution, and integration coordination across 8–9 connected systems
- Partner with business, IT, manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, vendors, and implementation teams
- Provide weekly status updates to leadership and steering committees
- Maintain project documentation, dashboards, reporting, and risk/issue logs
- Drive ownership, accountability, and delivery discipline across the program
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT project management experience
- Experience leading at least two full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4 modules, architecture, and business processes
- Experience managing large, complex programs with multiple integrations
- Background in defect triage, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support
- Excellent communication skills, including executive-level reporting
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing, ERP/MES, transportation, or warehousing environments
- Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- ITIL, Lean, or Six Sigma practices
- Enterprise-scale transformation and system integration experience
