Logistics Planner: 25-04538-Part Time (Remote Role)
Primary skills - Outbound Shipment Planning (Expert), TMS (Advanced), track shipments (Proficient), Inbound Planning (Beginner), JDA ( Expert) Location: Fairburn, GA (Remote) Duration: 6+ months (Possible extension) Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour W2, C2C Shift timing: 4:00 pm - 1:00 am EST (Saturday & Sunday only). Job Description: We are seeking two highly organized and skilled Logistics Planners to join our team for weekend-only shifts. The ideal candidates will bring hands-on experience in physical outbound shipment planning, using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for the planning, execution, and optimization of goods movement. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, compliant shipments of our software and equipment, including careful manual planning for non-automated processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead outbound shipment planning across the company's logistics network, including movement from hubs to spokes and spokes to contract manufacturers (CMs).
- Support inbound planning as needed to ensure continuity of supply and inventory.
- Ensure all shipments are compliant with regulatory requirements and are accompanied by proper documentation.
- Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams, third-party logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to address issues and streamline processes.
- Manage semi-automated planning workflows; bring hands-on judgment to cases where automated systems may fall short.
- Adapt quickly to dynamic priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure.
- Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience in physical outbound shipment planning.
- Proficiency in TMS for logistics planning and execution.
- Highly prefer prior hands-on experience utilizing JDA TMS (Transportation Management System) to plan, execute, and optimize the movement of goods.
Industry Experience Required:
- Previous experience in manual shipment planning is essential. Experience with logistics or supply chain management in the software and equipment industry is preferred.
