Head of Business Development - Fire Safety

The Opportunity We are seeking a Head of Business Development – Fire Safety to lead and scale our commercial efforts across fire services, emergency response organisations, and fire protection ecosystems. This role requires a credible operator who understands how fire departments, state agencies, and international fire authorities procure, evaluate, and deploy technology. You will take ownership of building revenue across domestic US markets and international territories, shaping our go-to-market strategy and securing long-term institutional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global sales strategy across fire safety and emergency response markets
- Build and manage relationships with fire departments, state fire marshals, federal agencies, and international equivalents
- Navigate procurement pathways including municipal, state, and federal frameworks
- Drive adoption of advanced technologies within fire operations, including aerial systems, situational awareness tools, and integrated platforms
- Identify and execute on large-scale contracts, pilots, and multi-year agreements
- Build a structured sales organisation aligned to regional and vertical market opportunities
- Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure solutions meet real-world operational needs
- Represent Powerus in industry forums, associations, and key stakeholder environments
- Develop partnerships across OEMs, integrators, and distribution channels where appropriate
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record selling into the
fire safety or fire services sector
- Deep understanding of
US fire service procurement , with exposure to state and/or federal funding mechanisms
- Experience selling internationally into fire or emergency response organisations is highly desirable
- Strong network across fire chiefs, departments, associations, or regulatory bodies
- Commercially driven with a history of delivering meaningful revenue growth
- Ability to translate complex technology into operational value for end users
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth, evolving environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
