Director, Global Contract Management
Your role at a glance Are you an experienced professional with global contract management expertise in Construction Services and Capital Equipment acquisition? With significant plans for growth and global transformation, we are seeking an experienced Contract Expert to lead the development, standardization, and governance of contract templates for procurement of equipment and construction services across our colocation data center portfolio. This role will establish robust, commercially sound, and risk-balanced template agreements covering mission-critical equipment (UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling systems) and construction services (Design/Build, GMP, Lump Sum GC packages). This position plays a key role in protecting the developer's interests while enabling scalable, repeatable project delivery across multiple sites and regions. This is a full-time hybrid permanent position. What we are looking for Key responsibilities
- Establish global contract templates and contracting standards that:
- Reduce project-level legal exposure
- Enhance speed-to-market through template standardization
- Support scalable growth across multiple data center locations
- Align templates with standard industry forms such as:
- Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC)
- American Institute of Architects (AIA)
- Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT)
- Ensure fair commercial risk allocation, define and align on standardized positions:
- Liquidated damages (delay & performance)
- Warranty regimes (equipment & installation)
- Parent company guarantees and performance bonds
- Indemnities and liability caps
- Insurance requirements
- Establish fallback and negotiation playbooks for regional teams.
- Develop scalable templates for mission-critical systems including:
- Generators, UPS systems, Switchgear, Chillers and cooling infrastructure
- Address long-lead manufacturing risk, factory acceptance testing (FAT), Commissioning support, logistics risk, and performance guarantees.
- Structure milestone payments tied to pre-purchase programs, manufacturing, delivery, testing, and commissioning.
- Develop scalable templates for construction services
- Design, Engineering, General Contractor, Consulting Services
- Shell & core construction, MEP installation and client fit-out packages
- Integrate commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST) obligations into contract frameworks.
- Governance & Internal Advisory
- Act as internal subject matter expert on contract drafting standards.
- Provide guidance to Planning, Construction, Procurement, Executive teams.
- Create clause libraries and negotiation matrices.
- Train regional teams on contract principles and risk positions.
- Support dispute avoidance and high-level claim strategy when required

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Construction Law
Preferred Certifications
- Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb)
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- National Contract Management Association (NCMA)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience drafting and negotiating complex construction and equipment contracts.
- Strong experience in mission-critical infrastructure or data center projects.
- Demonstrated experience developing standardized contract templates at a corporate level.
- Deep knowledge of Construction Contracting Strategies and application.

Compensation
Pay Range This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $154,200- $245,800 All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
