University of Houston-System is hiring an Associate Director for the Center for Student Advocacy and Community. The role involves overseeing a large program, managing staff and budgets, providing direct advocacy and case management to students, and leading community-building initiatives and essential needs programs. - Oversee operations, staff, budget, and strategic planning for a large university program or center.
- Provide direct advocacy and case management services addressing students' crises and barriers.
- Lead and support essential needs services including management of the Cougar Cupboard staff.
- Supervise 2-3 professional staff and serve as secondary lead in the absence of the director.
- Plan and implement programs such as cultural celebrations and advocacy education workshops.
- Manage assessment and data collection to evaluate department effectiveness.
- Create and facilitate educational workshops focused on advocacy and community-building.
- Develop relationships with community agencies, sponsors, donors, and other educational institutions.
- Requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Salary range is $65,300 to $74,300 annually.
