You play a key leadership role overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and cash management activities for a growing development portfolio. This position builds strong partnerships with project teams while managing budgets, forecasting, investor reporting, and ensuring GAAP‑compliant financials. It's an opportunity to own the full accounting function and drive financial visibility across high‑impact development projects.

Job Description

  • Manage financial tracking for multiple development projects, including hard/soft cost classification, budget-to-actual analysis, cost-to-complete forecasting, and capital expenditure management.
  • Oversee accounting for numerous LLCs and SPEs, ensuring proper allocations, intercompany transactions, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare monthly draw packages, coordinate with lenders, track interest reserves, and monitor loan covenants.
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, and quarterly investor reporting packages; maintain waterfall models and promote calculations as needed.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; produce financial statements; manage external audits and tax filings in coordination with CPAs.
  • Monitor cash availability across entities, handle treasury functions, and forecast both project-level and corporate cash flow.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Sage Intacct, Procore oversight) and strengthen internal controls.
  • Partner with development leadership on pro forma updates, project feasibility modeling, and operational decision-making.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related degree
  • 5-7 years of real estate development accounting experience
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a work hard/play hard environment
  • Manage a small team
