VOLUNTEER (REMOTE) Entertainment & Trending News Reporter (US ONLY)
Are you a passionate storyteller eager to see your work published and make a real impact in digital media? ACHDA Digital Media Generation is looking for dynamic, creative, and driven Volunteer Entertainment and Trending News Reporters to join our remote editorial team. This is an exciting opportunity to build your portfolio, gain hands-on journalism experience, and have your voice heard on a growing digital platform covering gossip and buzzworthy trending news, which includes fashion, beauty, food, and more . If you like crafting exclusive stories, during internet deep dives, and just enjoy pop and social media culture, this role is for you! As of now, we're looking for reporters to work for the following sections: Trending news, entertainment, new music generation, film & television, beauty & hair, performing arts, and spotlighted . THIS POSITION IS UNPAID and APPLICANTS MUST BE BASED IN THE UNITED STATES FOR CONSIDERATION.
What You'll Do
- Craft 1–2 polished, original articles each day
- Pitch content that will be of interest to ACHDA's readership
- Search the internet for stories that haven't been told yet to pinpoint exclusive interview/reporting opportunities
- Produce content centering around bubbling hot news stories, independent music artists, rising influencers and social media stars, and trending Gen Z culture
- Collaborate with fellow writers and our Editor-in-Chief to produce compelling content that reflects ACHDA’s mission and voice
- Stay up-to-date with trending topics and contribute to timely, relevant conversations across multiple verticals
- Grow as a digital content creator while gaining valuable feedback and mentorship

Requirements
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a clear, engaging voice
- Strong grammar, syntax, and editing abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Research-savvy and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of SEO and web content best practices
- Background in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Experience in marketing, branding, or digital communications is a plus

- Time Commitment:
7:00 AM–11:00 AM PST / 10:00 AM–2:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday
- Location:
Applicants must reside in the United States, preferably in New York or California. However, anyone in the United States is encouraged to apply.
