CFO & Co-Founder - AI-Powered RegTech Platform for FinTech (No Salary, Equity Only)
About the Opportunity We are building an AI-powered RegTech platform designed to help fintech companies anticipate, interpret, and resolve cross-jurisdictional compliance risk before it becomes a business constraint. The platform continuously ingests global regulatory developments, applies advanced AI and predictive analytics, and delivers forward-looking compliance intelligence and mitigation recommendations. The objective is to replace static compliance tooling with a dynamic, scalable system built for modern financial institutions operating across borders. We are seeking a US-based CFO & Co-Founder to build the company’s financial architecture, capital strategy, and institutional credibility from inception. This role is intended for a founder-caliber finance executive who wants meaningful ownership in what they build. The right person is prepared to commit fully, help finance the journey where appropriate, and operate as a true co-founder rather than a conventional employee. What You Will Own
- Define and lead the company’s financial strategy from formation through scale
- Build the financial model, capital plan, budgeting discipline, and operating forecasts
- Lead fundraising preparation, investor materials, financial storytelling, and diligence readiness
- Partner with the CEO and founding team on capital allocation, growth planning, and strategic decision-making
- Establish financial controls, governance processes, reporting cadence, and KPI discipline
- Support pricing strategy, revenue model design, and enterprise financial planning
- Prepare the company for institutional investors, strategic partners, and future board-level scrutiny
- Oversee legal-entity, finance, compliance, and risk coordination in partnership with external advisors
- Help shape a capital-efficient operating structure suited to an early-stage venture in a regulated market
- Serve as a credible finance voice with investors, partners, and senior stakeholders
Ideal Profile
- Proven executive leadership experience as a
CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, or finance leader in a high-growth company
- Strong background in
B2B SaaS , ideally within fintech, RegTech, financial infrastructure, enterprise software, payments, banking, or other regulated sectors
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, investor relations, financial planning, and strategic finance
- Strong command of financial modeling, scenario planning, unit economics, and capital strategy
- Experience building finance processes and governance frameworks in early-stage or scaling environments
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS metrics, recurring revenue models, and capital-efficient growth
- Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, risk, or financial-services operating environments is highly valuable
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a lean, high-accountability startup environment
- Executive maturity, strong judgment, and the credibility to operate as a true co-founder
What Makes This Role Compelling
- Opportunity to help build a company at the intersection of
AI, fintech, and global regulation
- Founding-level ownership with direct influence over capital strategy, financial structure, and long-term enterprise value
- A meaningful role in shaping investor readiness and strategic discipline from day one
- Exposure to a real and expanding enterprise pain point driven by international fintech growth and regulatory complexity
- Potential to help build a highly defensible and institutionally credible venture from the ground floor
Who This Role Is Best For
- A founder-minded finance executive who wants to
build and own , not simply report
- A senior operator who understands how to finance innovation with rigor and discipline
- Someone comfortable operating in ambiguity while maintaining high standards of analytical precision
- A leader who sees financial architecture as a strategic advantage, not an administrative function
