Primary Responsibilities

As a Bilingual and Non-Bilingual Customer Service Representative I, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers: Respond to customer telephone calls, emails, or in-person inquiries in a timely and friendly manner, providing accurate and knowledgeable information about their accounts, tax laws, and policies.
  • Reviewing confidential tax information: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Providing account maintenance: Assist customers with account maintenance, including password resets, refund inquiries, and other account-related issues, in accordance with tax laws and policies.
  • Supporting online self-service functions: Provide expert guidance and support to customers using the Georgia Tax Center, ensuring they can easily navigate and access the information they need.
  • Utilizing technology for advanced support: Leverage our advanced technology and tools to provide exceptional customer support and resolve complex issues efficiently.

Minimum Entry Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Six months of call center experience handling customer inquiries, complaints, and providing information

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:

  • Experience working in a high-volume contact service environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish or a second language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with tax laws and policies

Requirements

To ensure a smooth onboarding process and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction, you'll need to:

  • Pass a comprehensive criminal background check
  • Obtain a Tax Clearance Letter stating that you do not owe any state taxes
